Pre-Proof Publication (Early Bird) Option Available
Engineering Transactions introduces an Early Bird publication option, designed to accelerate the dissemination of accepted research and enhance authors’ visibility.
After a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication, authors may choose to have their article published online at an early stage, before copyediting, typesetting, and final editorial correction. These articles are made available as pre-proof publications with an active DOI, allowing the work to be visible, discoverable, and citable without waiting for assignment to a specific journal issue.
Early Bird articles are published in the author’s accepted version. They have not yet undergone final language verification, formatting, or technical editing by the journal’s editorial team. As such, the content may be subject to minor changes in the final Version of Record.
To clearly distinguish this stage of publication:
– each article is explicitly marked as “PRE-PROOF PUBLICATION”,
– a visible watermark appears on every page,
– and the article should be cited using the assigned DOI.
This publication model supports early dissemination of research results, facilitates citation tracking, and responds to authors’ needs for timely visibility.
Once the full editorial and production process is completed, the article will be replaced by its final version and published within a regular journal issue.
